Re: Building the supercharger to the engine (75 3.0V6)
Thicker headgasket will also alter your distribution timing a small amount.
Www.headgasket.com makes copper headgaskets in any required thickness. But Jim's suggestion seems a better one.

I'll check Jim's suggestion. Thanks guys!

I think one day I will do that, when I put a rotrex on.

The stainless steel rings. Do you need to resurface the heads if you lift them because the cut they make in them?
They charge 250euro for the 0.6mm thicker head basket. Not bad at all! They are so slow in communication though....
Those damn Italian pasta boys let's hope they don't make the other part of the gasket from it.

Head removal. what's the least amount of work? Let the engine in the car or take it out.
I know the brake booster is in the way but i have easy acces to it because i want to remove the dash.
What's your opionion guys?

Re: Building the supercharger to the engine (75 3.0V6)
I've never removed the heads in the car. The engine can come out within 1.5-2 hours for me. And I hate bending over and fighting the heads. I think once you remove the heads or engine, look for a thinner booster . I put a 164 booster with an Alfetta pedal box in mine.
Re: Building the supercharger to the engine (75 3.0V6)
If it's just head removal job then always in car . No faf with prop , need hoist etc . So in summary far simpler to remove heads in car.
Re: Building the supercharger to the engine (75 3.0V6)
That's what i thought. Let's give it a try. The extra amount of work when the engine has to come out for any kind of reason is margínal . I put it on high stands so i can het some support from the fenders and save my back.

That's Nice Remco. But i don't know if you know i have moved to another village. Beneeth eindhoven to the Belgium border. Hapert it is called. Rebuilt my new home last year. Finale a Nice garage for me with room for easely 2 cars. No more driving to my man cave. your welcome off course!
How is the Giulia going?
Today i did some exhaust gass preassure measurements.
At the collector 0.35bar
Before the last silencer 0.2bar
I don't know if these nummers are bad?

Numbers sound good to me..
Giulia is up and running racking up the miles while sorting out small problems.
I'm a bit busy the next week but after that i can come visit you to help and chat.

Some aditional information:
Measurements where done at 6000rpm and full load.
External pipe diameters:
Manifold 44mm 6x
Collector 70mm 2x
Pipe behind collector 54mm 2x
Pipe behind middel damper 62mm 1x
You'll see pipe mm² reduces. It is for the cooling of the gas. All geussed work.

Does anyone know original headgasket thickness size of the 3.0 12v? And are there differences in a normal one's and a QV version. The used one's over here measure 2.4mm but they are out about 3 years. Did they decompress? The company says original thickness is 1.6mm.

I believe the old type 24v 164 engine has thicker headgaskets. 2.3mm sounds like the 164 24v thickness.
