Nearly all the drag racers here with jap turbo nitro motors raid the alfa scrap yards for the 105 series ls diffs.

Oh my were my words to. its absolutely beautifull. I would put a twinspark turbo in there or just a twinspark. power to weight would be so good. There are for sale . I will pm you his details.

Awww I'm so in love with the Tipo33. I think it's way more beautiful than Miura which to me seems to be too hyped. And unlike the latter the stradale is a car that handles and performes.
This is my utter car dream to build a replica of tipo 33 stradale, mate it with monty V8 and flat plane crank from OKP for starters Is that the double or quad headlight front? At what kind of $ are we looking for the molds.
And I concour this deserves a platinum coated separate thread

Will start new thread. Talking to peter today(creator of replica 33) on what his plans are. Firstly he would never sell the moulds as a kit or give out any info on dimensions as he reckons it took him five years to do it. I think it took him longer personally.
He is going to make a few to sell but his price complete is gonna be absolutely huge like same price as the noble or GT 40 replicas (R900 000 that are made here. Believe it the nobles are made in SA.(the body that is).
Interesting info on the 33.
They were made for six months only from Sept 1968. Sixteen 33 chassis were made and six were sent to other coach builders for those funny angular wedge cars.
Twelve were made for customers. Today seven of those twelve are accounted for thus leaving five in barns or in junkyards around the world.
The lfirst few a had shorter dash then followed by longer dash - sound familiar.
This replica will have the quad headlights.
Dilemma for this car is what engine. Obviously if a customer wanted a v6 alfa or a twinspark turbo it would go in. What do you do if you want to sell it in limited numbers for a large price. Problem with the V6 is the lack of bearings available to sell it into US market. Alot of replicas like Jag in US use the 302 motor sadly.
A strong possible engine of choice could be the lexus v8 with all the external mouldings rebranded with classic Italian cam covers and plennum. Still using lexus , individual throttles to replicate origional 2.0 v8 was also an option.
Still along way from that decision though.
Put yourself in that position if you have created something pretty priceless and were to sell it. Would you sell it cheap so the next chap can go make a mould or sell it for a killer with a motor that you can get parts for anywhere in the world.

Killer info on the 33 Stradale body. I don't want to talk much about it here so as not to hijack the original post but please please add the link to the dedicated post for this 33 project.
Body looks great - first I've seen and would love to caht more about options for chassis and engine.

Another crazy project build happening here. Take one Brera 3.2 motor ,bore out to 3.8 and plonk it in a gtv with a front mount box. It still fits in our regs here as it's a Alfa motor. Md I will send you some pics as I can't upload.

It'd be easier than starting with a GTV v6/156/147/166 motor, but fuck they're ugly motors.
