If you know of more for sale, can you please let me know? Seriously, Team Dynamics USA just burned me again. My 9x17 was promised to be here for pick-up Jan 12-14. They even confrimed they were on the boat from the UK. Guess what, uhhh, ohhh, blah, blah, blah... No wheels, and they don't seem to care a bit. So, no proper wheels for the 3.7

Sorry for the rant. Nice stuff you are collecting - can't wait to see it come together. :)

It's under investigation. 8)

I've been busy exterminating some Fe2O3 in the LCA mounting point area and caster mounting point (visible in some pics above actually). Extremely boring stuff but it must be done, it was mostly cosmetic though but it's better to stop it now when I have all the stuff out of the car.

I'm hoping to start the work with the brakes soon, do some fun jobs for a change. :)
Got some new wheel bearings too, and will look at some kind of ducting for the rotor/bearing cooling. Reminds me I need to get some new pads for the calipers, race compound. The ducting needs to work together with the ducting for the oil cooler and air intake/filter box for the engine. Hmm... 8)

Mats,
I just noticed that Race-Technology USA lowered their price on the DL1-DASH2 package deal to $1400 (from $1600). That is an incredible deal. Anyway, noticed you talked about the DASH2 so figured I'd let you know. I'm tempted to buy a DL1-DASH2 package for the 3.7...

That's the same as they are in the UK (including VAT), and from there I don't have to pay customs. 8)
The deal packages are locked together though, that's a big drawback IMO.

Also, I spent about that on brake pads and a clutch yesterday. I don't have the cash to spend on "extras" right now but maybe in the future. Thanks for the tip though.

Engine long block works isn't really moving but the parts around it is:

Youtube link, Plenum Simulations

Never mind the graphics at the bend in between the IC tank and the TB, the time that went in to the mesh in that area was low.

First and foremost, thanks for posting! You do the BB credit.

Now some friendly, naive questions:

The runners aren't long and straight like that, are they? Is the length correct but the topology simplified to ease the computational time? What if the runners were curved, wouldn't that change everything?

You're making me blush...

The runners are actually just straight because it doesn't matter computational wise unless you're very interested in what is happening in the valve area, so you are right. They were actually modeled true to begin with but it was concluded that they would work equally well if straight. The volume is the same and a "valve model" added at the end. All cam data is from my cams and the Throttle body is indeed a model of the 75 TS unit that I will use.
I added an intercooler tank and the pipe because there were thoughts about using secondary resonance to try to lower lag ( ) but once I communicated that I use it from 5000rpm and up we put that aside.

Now I only have to fabricate the damn thing...

Thanks for the nice comments. :)

Maurizio: I'm just whining, you know I have it all in CAD, just plot it 1:1 and trace it in alu, pipes are easy. Lenght and cut quarters. :)
Need to change the blade in the band-saw though, my boss only use it to cut CF... Bloody Drag Racers... 8)

Now, the exhaust manifold is a different story, very challenging indeed... :?

Got some pipes that will make up my intercooler pipes, 1.5mm wall thickness and very nicely shaped. :)

Also got some silicone hoses for the same application, nice and black.
