Didgeridoo man...yea,nice..now bring back the brick !
Yea,yesterday was a big day in my life..I can continue it again ! Now to attend to matters Alfa again and sort out friends..sorry,being a bit cagey here but this is personal.
Mats, yea,a separate compartment and an extra smallish tank holding 2 liters more..
The sump has been divided into 2 distinct compartments..Im sorry I did not get pictures before Franco put it back on..
The std. pump has no function here except for driving the dizzy.
Greg,Ive had no need for any sleeve support in the V6 so far..They are pretty short and sturdy..and have a reasonable wall thickness..Even in the turbo applications they are bulletproof..
Copy /paste the URL into the sig box..little fairies will change and colour in the picture and the brick will miraculously show..
French cars are shit and shit expensive to service and bloody awful and unreliable and expensive and friends don't let friends drive french cars and you wait years for parts.

Just to refire this very interesting topic that seems to have gone dormant..The std. pump has no function here except for driving the dizzy.
With a hornbag engine like this, why in the world would you still use a dizzy?

Because it's there and it works? Very easy to hook up El Monstro Coil as well and ignite everything properly.MD wrote:Just to refire this very interesting topic that seems to have gone dormant..The std. pump has no function here except for driving the dizzy.

Ah, now that's an interesting debate. I have to assume that you do not suggest a points contact unit to start with. The oscillations alone at high rpm negate that stuff. Optical and induction types are off course better but still rely on distribution arching and timing. There is also a small mechanical loading as well.Because it's there and it works?
Yes they were a good thing in their day but...it seems to me that often in racing stuff, it is about nuances that make the difference between similar spec cars and this topic is one of those nuances.

You do know that a dizzy on a TS only decide which cylinder gets the juice? It's an empty unit with only a shaft, rotor and cap. All the timing functions are in the ECU except the trigger wheel (crank) and various sensors.MD wrote:Ah, now that's an interesting debate. Show me one COP system that will beat the std coil plus an MSD 6A for price and spark...
