Kevin thanks for those fantastic pics.Sorry to hear about your wifes accident but very glad she got out unschathed.

Mr B where did you take those pics of the old British encampments ?

Must concur with Kevin. Here they love to nail you for speeding and are now implementing a new type of camera set between two highway bridges. The first one takes a pic of you, your licence disc and speed.By the time you pass the next bridge it's averaged out your speed BUT it also allows them to check if your wanted for outstanding fines, tax evasion or any other crimes you may be wanted for! Scary stuff.

On Friday one of our major newspapers carried a front page article about speedsters spread over two pages, yet the rape of an 11 year old girl managed a measly little mention,in small print,on page 2!

The good news is our back roads still allow you to drive at a 'good pace' :D without the fear of some Metro cop waiting in hiding for you. :(

Guys may you have a fantastic 2007 and lets keep the Alfa spirit going strong.

That's some really pretty countyside you've got there. What is the weather like...real humid and hot...moderate?

Scott , the very interior of the country sits on an escarpement which is 6000ft above see level. This is where we stay(Baz, Fernando, Dawie). This area experiences probably the best weather in the world. Low humidity, warm summers and mild winters. Most people who work out doors wear shorts all year round. We have good rainfalls which are normally late afternoon thunderstorms with major lightning.(most common cause of death for giraffes- true). CapeTown weather is much like Sydney and Duban(coastal) is similiar to Brisbane. Probably does not help you as your from US.
Zman, the roads are not that bad, I just went the back way to Baz.(badly put,MD will link this to Jim somehow).

Alfettish, not sure when the DVD will be edited but will make it available as soon as its done.
Scott-great part of the country where Baz took those picks. Its in the transition from the highveld(6000ft) to the lowveld(to coastal ). Not far from Kruger Park. Climate is more humid than Johhannesburg, colder in winters and hotter in summers.

Hey Kev. No spots on you mate ! You are obviously not still long enough for a fly to land one on ya ! Great insight posting and a pleasure to read.

Regarding the back passage to Barry's place, well, I have done some low acts to JK but I will never accuse him of being a back door man. That would simply be unethical even between lunatics... :D

I can see Iam going to have to get a bit creative with the lens again and spread some Aussie cheer around as well.. nice one Kevin. Bit of advice for ya mate, take your cat to the vet will ya ? It's got a serious case of pussy measles. :D

Thanks Kevin! :D

I've always been curious about other parts of the world as I've only seen a little bit in person.

Kevin,
The two letters on the license plate indicate the Canton called "Fribourg".
Have you been to Switzerland already ?
Regards.

Billy, about ten years ago I stayed in Luzern (think spelling correct) for a week. This was our base while we toured around the country. Views were spectacular. What caught my interest were fields that could be runways with small hangers covered with grass. Was I dreaming?
