You're lucky you're in Oz, probably no chance to ever see you in the Ring (I just lost Schnitzel #3...damn! )
I and II are from the 75, III,IV,V are from pre-'82 Alfetta/Giulietta.
Couple this with a 9/41 diff (75/Giulietta 1,6) and you got a serious track box: 7k shifts with 15"slicks drop to 4300,5500,5300,5700!!
The same 7k will give the following kph: 57,95,121,159,196.
Doesn't get any better with stock components, just remember, refer to this as 'the JimK box' ! (saved you a damn schnitzel, after all, heheh!)

This was too obvious for Mr. Anon aka JK to mention, but please remember that you need to match the box with the tracks U drive.
I.e. the box Jim mentioned would be really good for Finland (damn slow tracks) but useless at THE Ring (only 3 gears of which the longest is too short).
How many people would be interested in short gear ratios?
If we get enough together and they could agree on some ratios I could have them made like my previous ones. I'd take one box myself.
Proposed gear ratios roughly (speed w 41/10 diff and 63 cm tires/8000 rpm)
2.9 (78)
1.9 (118)
1.45 (155)
1.2 (187)
1.0 (225)

Hey Jim,
Thanks for the schnitzel and I am glad it wasn't a pork sausage.
You got me really thinking with all the info. At the end of the day (being at the end of the world too) there may not be too much I can do about sourcing the components all the way from the motherland but I will try my hardest.
Seeing we never imported any emaciated cars like a 1.3 or 1.6 litre Giuliettas it will be like pushing the proverbial up the hill with a pointy stick but hey, we'll give it crack.
I have to get my parts spies out (and a three metre set of Rosary Beads probaly wouldn't go astray).

You should see the size of the ones the diner in Adenau cooks! Man, I usually eat a lot, but there, I'm done with one! Excellent taste and low price, a hard to beat combination: That, a fantastic mushroom sauce, full salad, beer, fries and a large Wurster = 13Euros!!
Thata enough for me, just thinking about it....wait till next time!
For the participants of 'food for tech' program, I'll keep a log and charge you schnitzels for when we meet in the Ring, heheh!

Jim,
You haven't tried the pizza joint (Pinoccio) in Adenau yet. An absolute winner in value for money. Haven't seen such huge pizza's before in my life. Never finished one totally either .
