Re: Giulietta Stage rally car
Hi all
Yes its a UK car and these things are seriously rare over here,in 3 years i have only seen 5 for sale, i bought 3 of those to make this one.
Totally stripped, restored, seam welded, strengthened, roof vent and caged shell before fresh paint. All glass (except windscreen) replaced with light tinted perspex + sliders
Rebuilt 2.0 with Jim Evans gas flowed and large valve head, 1.8 inlet cam, balanced bottom end and rebuilt Weber 45's.
Mixed a few transaxles up to get a short gear set, TS LSD and 4.3 crown wheel and pinion, standard rear brake (to be upgraded)
Gaz 2 1/4" front adjustable struts (no torsion bars), Gaz adjustable rear struts with pigtail spring on alloy height adjusters. All one off by Gaz.
Full Superfelx bushing throughout.
28mm front antiroll bar (made myself), 25.4mm rear anti roll bar on its way.
Wilwood alloy 4 pots with 280mm brake rotors on custom bells.
All brake and fuel lines inside car with euroquip braid pipe and fitting, hydraulic handbrake and bias valve.
Battery in alloy boot tray with power line inside car plus full rewire.
2 x Corbeau seats with TRS harnesses, alloy co drivers footrest.
Sump guard and soon to be made DeDion guard.
Plus lots of other odds and ends.
Future developments :-
Paint the bumper strips white not silver!!!!
Twin cylinder brake bias pedal box.
New custom exhaust manifold + system.
Colombo and Bariani cams.
Rear brakes, either SZ spec (spaced/vented etc) or out board them not sure yet.
I will post a picture of how it started, ohh by the way did it all myself with my brother in our spare time.
Just started on my 75 3.0 Veloce which has had the complete rear end rebuilt as above and is awaiting it 24v with GoTec with is in the garage plus much more.
Then its a GTV6 or Alfetta GTV and would love another 164 24v Cloverleaf, had 2 they are great cars, but the bank account may not suffer that!!

Re: Giulietta Stage rally car
Thanks for all the comments, i do love my old Alfas, its abit of an obsession.
If anyone has got, knows of or can make a boot spoiler for the Giulietta please let me know i have been hunting for since i got it. I am looking for the original rubber style one that was an option on the turbo models i believe.
Will get some action shots up one day.

The insane part is to drive it balls out on the British Rally Roads...Moynesey wrote:Love or insanity!!
Please add an in-car camera so we can at least enjoy it some before you smash it into a wall or a pole.
No, really. Great job, take good care of it!

I'm in on the vote for the in-car camera Mats proposed, that must be quite a sight!
