Replacing rear donut/flexdisk/coupling.....

Post by VinnyM »

I am replacing the rear guibo ( four diff names?) this week and i have been reading a lot about what to do. i read the info on driveshaft removal, but i was wondering if it was necessary to take out the entire drive shaft in order to just replace the rear guibo. place someone give me an abridged version of what to do! thankyou Vinny

Vinny once you have the rear of the driveshaft disconnected from the clutch yoke and hanging down you can remove the flex disc by unbolting 3 bolts. Its simple.Be carefull to only alow the driveshaft to rotate clockwise (looking from the front of the car) to avoid causing the timing belt to skip.Remember to leave the metal strap around the outside of the Guibo until it is fully installed to keep it compressed.
