Flex joint, etc.

Post by Reale »

So, if we were to use the stiffening plate on the 3 driveshaft yoke bolts, what template would we use for the holes? When the metal band is around the flex joint, the bolts go through fairly straight. When you release the band, they flare outward slightly. Should we strive to prevent this outward flaring, or not? Or does it not matter?

I think it doesn't matter. I would use the pattern with the metal strap around the joint. Makes assembly easy.
After everything is tight bolted you can release the strap.

Check out the Paul Spruell Website, he has them for Spiders, not sure if they will fit the GTV6 or not.
