2nd gear problem

I have a '78 Sport Sedan with 130,000 miles and have recently lost 2nd gear. There are no unusual noises coming from the box nor are were there any chunks of metal when I drained the oil. I still have all the other gears and until now, other than a slighly worn 2nd gear syncro and a loose shift rod, I have not had any other problems. Any help would be welcome.

They are not too complicated once you get into them, just take it apart and take a look, I am sure you will figure it out.

That explains it. I was wondering when Jim K in Greece got a 78 sedan.
