Alfa 75 Clutch

Post by storm_rider_ »

I bought an alfa 75 a while back and it has a slipping clutch.
The clutch is about to be replaced but we have hit a brick wall trying to source the parts for the clutch. No one seems to have anything in stock or anyway of getting one.

I can get a new gtv clutch but being bigger i assume that would require the complete housing providing it even fits.

The car is a 2.5ltr v6.

We'll probably have to rebuild the old clutch if no joy in sourcing any parts.
Any alternatives or ideas appreciated.

you can re-face the old disc...

new single discs and whole pressure plate setups are available. cost about 6-700$

just the disc new is about 100$

throwout bearings are hard to come by by themselves..they come in the complete kit..when you do find them they are about 140$

try :

Mats i have no idea which one the 75 has. The gtv clutch is a single one. The mechanic where my car is at brought it for another guys car but didn't end up using it. The clutch assembly got taken out today. Going to open it on monday and see how bad the old one is.

We'll end up religning it as long as its good enough to be done and rebuilt. Found a second hand clutch for $300 and that makes me laugh cause i only payed $850 for the whole car.
