clutch removal

Post by Sunracer »

Hi all, I am trying to pull the clutch from my GTV6. I followed the directions in the
Alfetta manual I have but the clutch wont come more than a few milimeters out. I have been reading LOTS of posts an I understand that the throw out bearing is attached to the pressure plate on the GTV6. So I assume I have to disconnect the clutch fork to get it off the throw out bearing in order to remove the clutch assembly. Is this correct? How do I do that? Thanks, Pierre

Pierre the fork will pull off the throw-out bearing.Grab the end of it a pull straight out.It is not actually attached to the bearing it's just the flats of the fork that "ride" on the flat sides of the bearing.

Hope that helps.

I pulled the clutch slave cylinder off and the fork and clutch came right out...sometime it's tough working off an Alfetta manual! Pierre
