Can´t thank tou enough Dennis. It is specially nice to hear about the grey/green, wich I thougt was a possibility.

Only one follow up question: The black/green that you´re connecting togeather with the pink to the grey/green, what is it? I only have the black/green to the ignition. Does it come from the same loom?

Again, thanks a lot Dennis!

The black/green wire connected to the grey/green is in the Motronic loom. It is + to the coil from the ignition switch. That way, when you turn the key it gets 12V (from the grey/green) together with the fuel pump and none when you turn it off.

You don't need the other wires from the motronic loom as they serve purposes we don't have in our cars.

Ok, now I´m back on track Dennis. It´s the same black/green, but the other end of it, rigth? I´m thinking about finding + from the ignition to the coil from another wire. I heard it could be to much power from that one green/grey. You havn´t had any problems?

How is your oil pressure doing now, any problems? You changed the gear to the oil pump too right?

My oil pressure is great, but I will change back to the original gear once I have gotech or something. Oil pressure is 1 bar stationary, 3,5/4 normal driving and 7 when cold. But my engine was rebuilt completely.

I had the same worries about enough current to the coil, but no problems so far....

Ok, thanks Dennis. Did you just connected the oilpressure to the original gauge/wire in the GTV6 and it works?

Do you have a picture of your engine? Did you use the original GTV6 plenum?

I´m still waiting to get the 180 bend built to be able to hook up the AFM and the other stuff.

Now I´ve started to connect the wires. Did as you said (and I suspected). Pink/white from the M-loom to dito from the car (fuelpump) and pink from the loom to the green/grey.

The wires comming from the car did previously go to the "double relay" (picture below) Is that how it was for you Dennis? Is that relay needed at all now?

The green/black you connected to the same green/gray as the pink I connected to another green/black that previously supplied the ignition module with +12 ignition. Since the ign. module is no longer in use I thougt it ok. This way I don´t risk getting too much current through the green/gray.

Any worries or comments Buddy?

Hi Seb,

Yes I've used the GTV6 plenum because I had a set of 75 motronic injectors (and rails). I've used a regular oil pressure sender, so yes, it works with the meter.

You don't need the relay set from the old jetronic if that's what you mean. The Motronic has it's own relays (already wired in), I've mounted them next to the coil.

Yes, there´s wgere I´m planning om putting them too. You can see one of them next to my hand in the picture above.

Do you remember if any of the other wires to the old ignition module is needed anywhere? (It´s the black rubber connector I´m holding in the picture.) I don´t think so, but I´m not sure. There is a lot of wires left over everywhere.

Thanks for all your help, feels great to be rollin´ again. :-)

You're missing the white wire to the - of the coil. This sends the signal to the rev-meter. Might be nice to see how much you're tormenting the beast

Your connection of the GR/BL to the other GR/BL sounds good. Is it connected to the ignition switch? Sounds like a hell of a lot better idea then mine! I guess I'll have to start looking for that wire...

I think I didn't use one wire from the old ignition module. Taped it up and tucked it away.

Dennis!

I have i white wire to the - of the coil. (See picture above) It comes from the motronic. Or do you meen that the old RPM-wire is to go back to the coil? If so, no probs, it´s still hanging around there. You have the white from the original 164 on the - on the coil too right?

I thought maybe the white from the Motronic loom, (original from the 164) did the job.

You need the old white wire to the coil also. That's for your meter, the one from the motronic loom is used by the ECU (also important :D ).

So, hook up the old rpm wire and you're good to go

Yep, those are milanos. You have to get the hubcenter enlarged by 0.5 mm, or else they won't fit correctly. They are heavy!! But look soooooo good!
