Fuel Pressure
I was playing with my fuel system last night, (putting on hose clamps on the injector hoses because two were leaking from my 3 year old fuel hoses), and I noticed that I get about 32psi at idle and upon initial opening of the throttle it jumps up to about 38psi and then down to 30psi and less as the engine rev's. But, if I unplug the fuel pressure regulator from the plenum, pressure holds a constant 38psi reguardless of what the revs do. Is this a cheap why to get a little extra fuel inot the system? Or would that be a very bad idea? My Verde does the same thing as far as fuel pressure, so I think this is the way Alfa designed it. Just curious...
