Fellow enthusiests,
This is my first post so bare with me. This car has 60k miles on it, been stored for a while, but looks very well taken care of. It has none of the usual vermine attacks to wiring or fuel lines as such, and no butchered wiring or mechanical attacks. I have no fuel pump or action in the combi relay when turning the key to the on posistion. I have 12.5 volts at the combi relay and by jumping one of the relays I can get the car to run. The air box is in good shape with no bent flap. Car has new fuel pump installed before me. I'm thinking with the little knowledge that I have with the L-Jetronic that it's the controll unit not grounding properly internally, had this happen to a Saab turbo once. Does anyone have any thoughts on this subject. I currently maintain 2 164's, a few Spiders, this GTV & a '59 2000 Spyder. Hate to give up. Any help appreciated.

Hi Tucker,
The fuel pump in these cars will not run until the flap in the AFM moves. You can test it by turning the key on opening the air cleaner box and moving the flap manually.
I have a full page of L-Jet procedures here: www.oldebottles.com/italiancarspage3.htm including how to test the fuel pump.
Good luck and ask for help when you need it. The GTV6 is a great car.
