Removing ignition switch / ignition barrel -- Help

Hi,

I've searched the forum, but can't find a thread covering this topic.

My original ignition switch / ignition barrel is dead, so I've bought a replacement.

My problem is that I can't get the old one out.
I can't really see any screws that holds the ignition barrell, but it might be hidden away somewhere.

Do I use brute force to remove the old ignition barrel/switch, or have I missed something?

All help appreciated :D

Dan on the "backside" -closest to the dash there is a bolt which holds the barrel in the column. This bolt had a breakaway head when it was first installed so there's nothing to grab ahold of.Best bet is to use a cutting wheel (Dremel) and cut a slot in the end so that you can use a slot-head screwdriver to turn it out. This bolt is close to the column and is hard to see so your best bet is to use a mirror.
