Hi!

I was wondering how and where to fit a dump valve, in order to reduce some of the lag form the turbo...

The "whooosh" sound is nice too!

Thanks!

Guess you need something that can take the heat since the intercooler is behind the throttlebody.

Yep.

In your specific case you have a heat issue.

Since you have no choice other than fit the DV before de throttle body and it means you will catch all the high temp air coming from the compressor, you will have to use a piston DV(membrane DV won´t work very well under those heat figures).

I have one that we could use just for testing.

It´s actually on Lando´s Xsara but we can rip it off and apply it to the 1,8T just for testing.

Ring me and let´s add some "pssshhhhhhhhhhtttttt" to the Bialbero music. :D

There are membrane dump valves that can take the heat no problem. My turbo for instance have a membrane dump built into the compressor housing itself.
My old *aab 900 Turbo had a wastegate that was actuated by the exhaust pressure, that's exhaust gasses on the membrane.
