Giulietta V6 conversion
I'm looking for some of the guru's help here, especially Barry..
As some of you know I have 2 V6's, a 12v and a 24v, initially i'm going to put the 12v in since it has everything, the 24v is missing the injectors.
I need to know what parts do I need to get in order to fit the V6 in the Giulietta, there are pretty much no 75 V6's or GTV6's around this area, I mean Argentina or Brazil, so no donor cars..
I'm going on vacations to France the first days of march specially to get those last parts I need, so I need to know exactly what to buy and if someone knows where it'd be great.

F,You will need the front section of the gtv6 propshaft as a donor for the motor side.Yoke and splined shaft will do..This will be welded onto the stock std. Giulietta shaft to marry motor to box.
The next part is to weld 2 by 50mmx 3,4,or 5mm thick plates to the front of the exsisting engine mounts..This facilitates the gtv6 engine mounting..other than that my friend,you are ready to install the v6 motor..
It realy is surprizingly easy to fit tha v6 to the 4 cyl 116 cars..
Ill take some pics and post..
If you are realy gifted in the manufacturing dept.,Alfa S.A. used the rear yoke from the gtv6 shaft on the front of the Giulietta shaft on the factory conversions here..The first option is the easiest..

F,Took the pics quick..Dark outside though..
The front section of the gtv6 prop,remove at the wels,cut the exsisting Giulietta prop -measure overall length-and weld on..done.Same averall lenght as the original Giulietta prop.
The welded adaptor plates as in the pic.The rear bellhousing bolts onto the std. position and you will see the gtv6 mounting bolt hole will line up with an exsisting hole or stud on the car.The plate gets a tapped m8 hole and stud or bolt for the gtv6 mount.

Hey guys!! thanks for the pics, sorry for the late answer, but I was away from home from friday until today flying.
So basically, it's the front propshaft part of a GTV6 and welding of those engine mount parts..cool..
Now, here's the list of things I need then, please correct anything wrong:
Front propshaft of a GTV6
GTV6 flywheel
GTV6 engine mounts including the rear thing (don't know how to call it in english)
GTV6 starter ( I have the 12v and 24v starters but they don't fit on the GTV6's rear engine mount)
that should be pretty much it I think, now I need to source it in France, hehe
Oh by any chance, does anyone know where in Europe I can buy 27 mm torsion bars and sway bars?
sadly I thought these could be manufactured here but I was wrong..
Oh Barry, as far as manufacturing things, pretty much anything can be made to fit here, actually we mated the 164 flywheel with the Giulietta 1.6 flywheel in order to use it with the existing giulietta propshaft, i'll take some pics today, and had a sump made too, pretty much it should fit everything right, but I think using some GTV6's parts is easier and probably better, the hard thing oddly is to get them..

The GTV6 engine mounts are a factory made available item and they are cheap. I paid $60 AUD for the pair when I did a 3 litre conversion to my GTV. I cut the original ones off and welded in the new ones taking care of mounting positions and alignment prior to welding up.
If you cannot get new ones, you might be able to source some off a wrecked GTV6 and simply cut them off.
Barry's solution is simple, practical and cost effective.
My solution is a bit more involved but it makes it look like a factory job.
It's your choice.

Transaxle Alfas Haul More Arse
This is going to be the first and only Giulietta V6 in Uruguay...in a country where pretty much all devotion goes into VW bugs and VW Gol's (a brasilian car) that many parts are available and cheap. In any case, it being hard and not quite cheap makes it even more interesting to modify this car here.
I still have 2 other Alfa project car, a 1962 Giulietta that needs to be put together and i'll be starting next month and a complete rebuild of a racing 1971 Giulia, talk about passion for the brand...

just to clarify the engine mounts once again
Attached is 2 pictures of where I presume the v6v mounts sit in relation to the 4cylinder chassis
the 3rd picture is from an earlier post where someone a 3mm- 5mm plate has been welded to the 4cylinder chassis mount showing it in the same position
I have measured the mounting points on the gtv6 chassis and everything seems to line up perfect
thought I would share with you all and appreciate any comments before I weld a similar plate into place
