When I set out to make properly sized 24v headers, I considered this design and the more traditional CSC style. I opted for the latter, since I strongly object to adding great amounts of heat in the engine compartment, preferring instead to unload it in the airstream under the car. The shown solution may be fine for a race car, but not for a daily driver with all sorts of rubber tubes and wires running next to the hot pipes. Thermal coating may be a half ass protection measure but still grossly inadequate in this case.

Hmm, I hadn't really thought about the heat issue. Now that you mentioned it, it will add a lot to the underhood temps. Although.. I doubt they could possibly add more than the Callaway. That thing had upwards running manifolds with non liquid cooled turbos on top of them.
