For Sale: '82 GTV6 Rust Free and Original

Post by Massgtv6 »

I have a great car. Help me find a fair price and a buyer for this car.

'82 GTV6
50,xxx miles. Anthracite/Blue. Totally stock except for tire size, high
beams, and battery cut-off 'key' in trunk.
Adult driven all along. No track time or canyon racing, just spirited
touring.

No rust except for surface rust on suspension as shown in undercarriage
foto. No snow and absolutely no salty roads. Probably seen rain 15 times
since new if that(?)

Tensioner and belt done some time ago. Starts on first turn every time. Typical second
gear synchro touchiness, consistent for years. Double clutching second
is smoothest, though not necessary. Also, a bit of clutch chatter in
first if given a bit too many revs, also consistent for years. All records since new. Shop and owners
manuals.

Body is straight. Interior is excellent. Paint is glossy, though
with glazing on roof, cracking on top of front
cap, and stone chips. At 10 feet, the car looks new except for the paint
shedding on the window frame of the driver's door. This is a driver, not
100 point concours. That said, it's taken two first places at the Boston Tutto Italiano show. The announcer's comment:
"Look at the interior...it is a time capsule." Pricless: Seeing the Enzo
owner politely applaud.

This car was bought by my now 93 year old uncle (San Diego) in '86 from
the original owner (LA) so he (my uncle) could have some good Italian
iron to work on.
I've had the car 5 years now. Pictures available by email.

Price: You tell me. I believe it is worth $5K whether you drive as is, track it or restore for concours.

The snow is coming.
