This vehicle had an engine fire prior to my purchasing it
It is not registered and will have to be subjected to a complete inspection prior to going back on the road.It will be sold using a bill of sale.
I removed the engine and all the burnt wiring harnesses. Front end was professionally repainted and blended into existing paint. Looks good ! I have inspected the chassis, rocker panels etc. and the only evidence of typical GTV6 corrosion is the front shock tower/fender area which has been properly repaired previously.Couple of small areas around drain plugs on the floor etc. Otherwise this a good solid car. All glass is good and the cloth Recaro style interior is in good condition some sun fading and one seam Ps.seat – see photo.
Transmission (desirable 1986 ratios) is in the car.
Sunroof functional.
Car basically complete with the exception of the radiator which I can’t currently locate ?
The engine is a good solid 2.5L which I pulled from a 1984 GTV6.I’m a mechanic (certified) and I had this engine running prior to removal. It’s solid and didn’t exhibit any signs of excessive oil burning knock etc.No idea as to the true mileage.
I tagged and removed the complete engine wiring harness from a 1984 GTV6 and this is ready for installation.Minor differences exist in ignition setup between 84 & 86 so some modifications will be required.
So basically this is a project which with some work will result in a very nice Alfa.

Notes: I know we’re all looking for a deal but I’ve just compiled a quick list of what’s worth what in terms of parts.
1- Complete glass including original windshield with integrated antennae – perfect condition

3- Desirable 1986 transmission $ 500
4- Good seats front and rear $ 500 - $1000
5- Front valance/ grill complete $ 500

Thanks Darryl but no that shiney object is a new condensor I installed in anticipation of building an effective Ac.system.

Time to bump.Must be someone out there who can see the value in this one.In fact I'd say it's the greatest value ever offered, anywhere.And there's no Russian involvement, maybe a little cold rolled steel !
