I've bought them used....... They're of the "230 hp TS" which is going to use slide throttles.
A set of slightly used 45mm Jenveys go for around 500-600 euros on motors.ebay.co.uk.
Mats, I guess that's why they operate on the dutch market and not the english or american

Please, the price always skyrocket the last minute...
And since you ask, yeah, 45 is probably too small. Depending on how you build of course...

Dennis,
Suggestions have been made to me for my TS engine TB's varying from 42-48mm. I opted for 46mm but I feel sure the 45's will do the job. Your inlet ports are likely to be around the 42 mark and the extra size is merely allowing for obstructions of the butterfly assemblies and their shafts which are interfering in the otherwise open bore.
There is also some gain in air speed with a smaller bore so on balance, I think you are on the money mate.
Ultimately you'll just have to suck it and see. Got nothin' to loose but your smoker's cough as they say..

Transaxle Alfas Haul More Arse
Well, if you're planning on having a tapered runner you will need to have a larger TB if you place it further from the head. So as usual, everything is relative.

AR says the 1.8T main fuel pump will deliver up to 130 liters/minute at 3bar pressure and the TS pump 100liters/minute. This should cover all your possible needs. Std TS injectors (Bosch 0280150702)are rated 190cc/min. Your requirement is total hp x 1.18 in cc/min and 100% duty cycle. For example, 230hp x1.18=272cc/min. If you rate for 90% you need ~300cc injectors, or ~30lb ones in the other system.

It's been a long time since I've posted but a couple of weeks ago I have finally got the engine to run and dynoed. Just before we went out to Spa Francorchamps....
The result was 205 hp (at 7300 rpm) and 210 Nm of torque. The engine tuner/dyno guy believes the output will get a lot better once it is dynoed longer and we can play around with timing etc. some more
The result in a 1040 kg car (incl. me and a full tank) is amazing. But then disaster struck (big time)

I'm ok apart from a couple of bruised ribs. The engine seems to be ok (thanks to the extended cage I've put in this winter) but we will have to see if the shell can be used again. At least I know my car is safe.....
I will post some pics of the engine and full specs later.

That is one massive hit!
Good to hear you're ok, that's what matters. Metal is only metal (unless it's sticking out of your leg).
Sounds like you had some nice results with that engine, 210Nm from 1962cc is impressive!

I've heard about the crash, wasn't able to visit Spa this year. Luckily didn't experience this one live, now I see the pictures
A pity it ended so soon, any idea why the car suddenly oversteered?
Anyway nice results on the engine, the potential is there

I don't know exactly. It happened in Eau Rouge. I was going in faster and took a slightly wider line at the bottom going into the right turn going up. When I hit the curb on the inside the rear just stepped out. When I noticed I couldn't correct I hit the brakes to lock up and slide, but the rear just kept coming.Maurizio wrote:A pity it ended so soon, any idea why the car suddenly oversteered?
It is probably a combination of factors, but I can get a better view when I get the video someone has shot from the stands. I saw it when I came back from the hospital, but I need to see it again to get a clear view of what happened.
Anyway, I'll get some pics of the engine installed before the crash. That way we can stay ontopic
