The rods are the same as all V6s. Only change is, the newer V6s are "better" because of newer casting design.

Is it possible to send out the 3.0 crank to a shop to increase the stroke? Has anyone done so?

It's possible but you do NOT want to know what it costs.

GTA crank price

Post by Sud_Oscar »

I asked a Swedish dealer (Alfa Rosso) about the price for a GTA crank.
15430 SEK + tax or 1670 Euro or 2140 USD.

this is an issue I am trying to get over, either I bite the bullet and get the GTA crank or I go the turbo route. I have the gta pistons and cams but no crank.

I can extract a lot more power through the turbo way rather than with the gta crank. And the cost will probably be comparable as long as I dont want to run high boost.

Hey RZ, how much for a set of GTA cams?
Anyone know the differences between these and a '95 164 24v set ?

don't know that price!but i think cams only will not do the job!
you need exactly the same setup and pistons to have an optimal result.
just quoted these prices because i was interested in a conversion to 3,2 ,but with a 12v head i think the result will not be satisfying for me.
pistons are made for 24v heads
