What a spectacular view Nizaam. We won't be taking static view shots around our race tracks here, unless you like highway's and buildings...
The only South African race track that has absolutely spectacular scenery is the East London GP circuit but that is more than a 1000kms from where I live unfortunatly. It runs right next to the ocean.

Actually, we are quite blessed here in Northern California (which isn't actually "northern" geographically ... but we call it that ). We have five (5) race tracks within 3 hours of home, and outside of one of them, they are all picturesque.Fernando wrote:What a spectacular view Nizaam. City tracks are kinda cool too, but it takes a different type of photographer and photography to bring out the "beauty". Monaco is one such track.
I think there are pics of some tracks in New Zealand that are right by the cliff edges on the ocean, (don't know the name) that is also breathtaking.

California has some fantastic roads ... just not locally where we live where they are covered in potholes, ruts, and other Alfa-wheel-bending and suspension-crashing features.
Seems like California and Oz have a lot in common. Those roads could be anywhere in Australia. Our only problem is trained Kaolas in Gum trees with radar guns and wankers in Q cars to hand out PYC tickets to the ball. The only thing I have yet to see is an inflated weather ballon equipped with radar detection..unfortunately modern motor touring has turned to crappola...so good roads just increase the pain

Is this Mark (forgot his last name) from Santa Barbara who runs the pool construction company? He used to drive a red Alfetta and used to have an old Camaro too.
He was in the same AROSC intro course at Willow Springs as I was in.
Cheers,
Michael

I don't think it is, I just happened to pull up ebay when his car had 3 minutes left in the auction!
It sold for 7.5K, pretty close to what he was asking for.
I didn't know that thing was so well sorted, wish I could have seen it drive.

I'm kidding -- please don't ban me.

Jim has been driving and winning in the orange Alfetta GT for years, and he has had it for sale at least a couple of times (if I recall correctly).
