Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows where to get original seat covers for an 82 Alfa Romeo? I need to redo the old seats since they are torn were the stiches are. The goal is to redo the old seats to original condition.

url in german, it shows some seat-covers (cloth) - most "fiat", some "alfa"
also for the gtv and 75

it seems that they have a good contact to italy

try: info1@ritmo-world.com or andreas@fiatritmo.de

When I restored my car I got the leather seat covers from Reoriginals. The leather is perfect! I got the $2200 set, and just love it. Everybody who sees the car always comments about the seats.

http://www.reoriginals.com/index.asp?Pa ... egory=7421

I am glad that I spent the money. I also had to pay a good amount of money to have them installed. A company in Saint Louis called Auto Match did an excellent job installing them. If I remember, this is not an easy job to do.

Hi,

I found out about reoriginals as well and I am happy to see a happy client. I have almost all the facts now to decide if I am going to go factory original restore or modified interior. I still have not decided also if I am going to go black or tan. Black would be easier I think since there is less interior parts to change. It would also wear better. Both my other tan interior cars became dirty fast. However, tan is happier look. Of well, will see soon enough.

Thanks for your input. :D

@gtv611636

here is the translation, sorry for my english i try to do my best ;-)
in [...] i will do some comments.

"seat-fabrics of italian youngtimers [from 30 (25) to 20 years]

because of several enquirys [inquiries?]:

-available are the seat-fabrics as shown below.

-there are no others in stock and i don´t know where others are available

-we can´t send samples; we only have the pictures.

-there is no imitation leather, real leather or other " insets" available

-there are no prefabricated seat-covers [to wrap them over the old foam rubber] available, it is cut off from a roll of cloth. it will fit only after some handwork [;-)] or you bring it to the upholsterer.

-the price of the square meter is € 18,50 to frankfurt/main [city in germany].

-the width of the roll of cloth is 1,40 meter [1 meter = 3,28095 ft]

pland course:

-if you are interested please send e-mail to andreas@ritmo-world.de with the quantity of square meter [width is always 1,40 m!!!] and number of seat-fabric (s.b.)

-i collect enquirys [inquiries?] until begin of april/may 2006 [:-(]

-if availability is guaranteed, i will collect the cash in advance (i have to)

-i go to italy in april/may 2006 and get them there.

-the handing over of the articles will be in germany after arrangement. as i said before, i will bring all to frankfurt/main.

-exchange and guarantee is excluded [;-)], i think everyone will understand this by this special price"

ok, this won´t help you very much, doesn´t it?

so if you need something, let me know (square meter and number [don´t forget: width is always 1,40 meter!]), i will contact this guy for you to find out if they are still available or if he can give me the address of the company in italy where he got the stuff.

greetings from austria

Seat Cover for GTV6: I guess IAP sells them , too, now...

Posted: Fri Dec 28, 2007 5:22 am
by Wernerh
The available information about GTV6 seat covers is very poor at all.

IAP offers front seat covers (only front) for 2500 USD.
They dont show fotos on their website.
Shipped from manufacturer... made in US.
Looks like that upholstery work is included ?

Glen said obove, he was very satisfied with reoriginals.
This is a set of covers, front and rear, 2400 USD, to install them yourself at home or by an upholsterer.
Reoriginals dont show fotos on their website, too, saying crafted in Italy
by the oldtimers...

For example, in Germany, the neighborhood of Italy,
we know nothing about GTV6 seat covers. Not here neither in Italy. Simply unknown.

Does anyone heard about seat cover replacements in Italy ?

Or can anyone say more details to the quality, offered by Reoriginals and IAP...

How do they fit ?
How is the quality of the leather and construction below ?
Is the look like original GTV6 seats specially in all cuts ?
(the cut of the leather construction is much more complicated than the velour one)

Thanks Werner

Your best bet is to find a local interior guy and do it right in leather with new foam for the same price as IAP covers.

can Glen post pics???
