Wow, that doesn't look anything the movies. I guess Hollywood and Mad Max have been lying to us.
ON a serious note, that's really a nice looking city.

Thank you Greg and yes it is a great sub tropical city. Third largest in the country and used to occupy the largest local government area in the southern hemisphere. I don't know if that has changed.
Anyway, my hope is that fellow members will help to "humanise" the forum with a little bit of "softer" exchange for once instead of constantly discussing hardware. Sort of a get to know you better thing.
Keen to see your (collective)participation.
PeterQ. Don't bother posting. I know you live under a rock..It's been too long since I have given you a serve, hahhaa.

The story behind it is
we sold the rights to them for a large sum of money, which we used to buy more beans!

MD , I have been watching John Bishops Australia . What a great series . All of a sudden I want to live in Byron Bay and occasionally pop in to Brisbane . Must say he's damn funny .
For those who don't know him he's a British comedian who cycled from Sydney to Cairns 23years ago and now he's doing it again . Last time I was in Oz I drove down the coast from Sydney to Melbourne and then flew to Cairns . Maybe I should have done it the other way around .
Have you ever been up to Fraser Island ?
Oh and how many funnel webs have you encountered in Brisbane

Hey Kevin.
Byron is a cool place and even more so if you are a hippie. Frazer is a popular place for the serious fishing guys which is not me. I like mine wrapped with chips.
In my lifetime, I have never seen a funnel web spider except a very stiff one in the natural museum. You should be more worried about getting your aggotts bitten off by a croccodile hiding in the "S" bend of the bathroom pedestal, hhaaaaha.
