Any Alfa VEMS users out there?

Any one have experience with the VEMS efi system? Im strongly leaning towards VEMS for next years track motor but the support looks a lot thinner than the MS boys. I mean if your not a hard core micro controller geek I suspect the VEMS users might be a little impatient with you. Could be wrong. Guess I could pluck down a grand and find out the hard way....
