Hi!

I'm currently in the process of megasquirting 33 with 16V boxer. I've been able to get engine running with MS controlling fuel and spark.

I'll use LC1 wideband to tune VE map. Because of characteristics of this engine I'll use Hybrid Alpha-N.

Has anyone done this on this engine (it's stock for now). Can anyone provide me with factory (or modified) ignition map ?

David I can't help you specifically with your 33 engine,but here is an Excel file that allows you to create an ignition map based on a few inputs.I took it off the Megasquirt site and it seems to do a pretty good job.Needless to say,when you're building an ignition map you have to be very carefull to avoid pre-ignition so listen very carefully for "pinging".

Thanks. I'll use that for a starting point then. The problem is that i have kinda noisy exhaust, so I'm not sure that I'll hear pinging (especially at higher RPM - when it becomes dangerous for pistons and connecting rods).
Not only pre-ignition, but detonation is dangerous too.

Megasquirting 16V boxer
