Fitting Dynamat Hoodliner to a GTV6

Post by SimonB »

I've just bought a dynamat hoodliner pack to replace my disintegrating bonnet (hood) insulation. Before I start cleaning, measuring, cutting and sticking, I just want to know if anyone else has done the same thing and if there is anything I should look out for...

Thanks...

I have not done it but am interested. What is your purpose in having a liner? Noise reduction? Think it will make a difference in the cabin?

Curious to hear what others have to say because if it makes a difference I'll be right behind you installing one in my car.

I'm just putting one on to replace the factory heat/sound shield which is falling off and disintegrating, making my beautiful engine and pretty red silicon hoses all dirty! I guess it will do the same job as the original, quieten down the top end engine noise and protect the paintwork from heat. It looks a bit thicker and shinier so might do this job a little better. It is also more available than the original material.
