Antenna

Post by jaxon »

My 84 GTV6 has an aftermarket windshield, and therefore no imbedded antenna. The stub of the connection that goes to the radio is sitting on the dash pad. Amazingly, it provides some reception, but I want a permanent fix. I read that Radio Shack may have a tape that's applied to the inside of the windshield and then attaches to the radio. Anyone familiar with this; any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I have a '85 that the bud popped off. Not sure how it can be reconnected any info appreciated.

Jaxon: You could always add an antenna. better reception and a lot less ugly that any Radio Shack solution.

I replaced an old hershmann power antenna with a new "VW Jetta - Audi" roof top antenna at the left rear factory hole. perfect fit and looks better than factory.
