Job done
Finally found enough Alfetta lenses to get the conversion to the rear of the car finished. Gone to the all red U.S. spec configuration. I like the look of it more than the red/orange mix. Alot of new cars round these days are going that way and illiminating the amber lens in favour of the all red look. Easy conversion to do. Made seals from a length of rubber trim that fit over the outer edge of the lens and it seals up to the body well. I checked into the legallity of the red indicator lens for our part of the planet. No probs with that either. "Red or Amber directional indicator" does suffice according to the laws of the land.

Cheerz. Yep they fit up not too bad. Never realised that there so many different type of the same lens. About 6! But they are becomming hard to locate, especially 4 matching ones. I got mine from Aussie, England, and U.S. all new in the plastic. As well as a couple of spares just in case..
Ebay has some on there now. You've just got to keep hunting. Re-Originals, High-woods, Ricambi D-epoca auto. I got some prices from European suppliers but they turned out to be unrealistic compared to what I'd allready paid. That was the reason why I switched to all red.
Let me know if any one wants to do the job and I'll post a pic of the rubber seal material that I used. Bought of the local engineering supplies shop who had it there in stock. Works well.

The really hard ones to get seem to be the right hand amber lenses. There are a couple of lefts on ebay Aus now for round $20 U.S. I emailed every seller on ebay who had a supply of Italian lenses for sale and inquired as to weather they may able to source me what I needed. But some avenues which I never explored were some of the Alfa owners clubs who hold spares and pass them on at realistic prices.
