Guys, I am thinking about getting the RSR(acing) rear springs, do these fit into the existing body spring point and do they accept the rubber insulation like the original springs?

Hi Bruce, the rear springs do fit in the same place as the original springs, when I fitted mine I removed the rubber 'rings' that sit at the top and bottom. You will also need to drill a larger hole in the de-dion for the adjustable spring seat bolt.

Thanks.
I wish to fit them with the rubber insulation.
What is the inside diameter of the springs on the small end?

Hi Bruce
I left the top rubber seat in without the steel part. Reason why i did this is that I preferred the spring not to sit directly on the body and straingely enough the spring fits in the inner groove of the rubber seat. I also removed the bump stops totally. I did not have to drill the bottom hole on the Dedion but it would be easier if it was a mm wider. (No I did not use the 4pd hammer).
Hope you enjoy this kit. Its the best off the shelf conversion for the GTV yet. What kg's springs are you using front and rear.

First and foremost this is a road car and I want it to retain its good cruising capability. I am currently replacing all the worn rear Watts linkage bushes so I thought I would replace the rear springs with a RSR type; I was thinking about going for the softest options. I already have adjustable spring pans.
Also being replaced is a worn clutch, the 3 litre (QV) gearbox is being replaced with a Twinspark gearbox and 2 prop-shaft couplings are being replaced.
What is the score with prop-shaft front "donut" replacement Barry?

Hi Marc,
I still need to do the last 12v dyno with the high-performance cams I designed; I'm expecting the cams this month and then I will take out the 12v engine and install the 24v. You understand that I have to do ~2500km first and then dyno+map it. THAT will be the end of the book, everything else is finished. I estimate to send all the material (one CD) to the publisher about mid-end of March. He will need another 2-3 months to come up with the book, so I would expect to see a real book about...July-August?
