Barry you have awesome Alfa kowledge, skill, experience, passion and just the right amount of lunacy. On this site you also have something money can't buy, respect. I could go one further and claim that you are our sex symbol but I don't want to lose what little credibility I have. Seriously mate, y...

Re: Weather stripping replacement

For any of you that have done this before, how big of a project is it? My car is being painted now, should I have the old weather stripping taken off prior to it being painted? I have this feeling that I am reading way too much into your question as I am assuming you're looking (ultimately) for tip...

For all the Aussies out there especially in Brisbane, try "The Rubber Shop" 148 South Pine Road, Enoggera Telephone 07 3354 2053. He's got all sorts of profiles there and sells it by the metre. (He might be called The Rubber Shop but doesn't carry the stuff that fits on your bazukka.) MD :D

24-Valve Project

Hi Steve, I got my information from material off the former GTV6.org site from an article entitled "European Car Magazine GTV6 Project" and found the information invaluable. Try this link for another point of view that may help you. http://www.alfagtv6.com/eurocar2.htm I have applied measu...

One other suggestion I have for you Steve in addition to Andrew's recommendations is to strengthen the sway bar mounts if you are upsizing. The bigger bars tend to load up the mounts a lot more to the point where eventually they get fatigued and simply break off. It is a good idea to create a reinfo...

LHS Mirror

Try England and Australia. They would be more common there being RHS drive. Often these cars only had one mirror fitted in the first place to the driver's side.

Yeah Micke, I see where you are coming from. For now just put the budget aside and think what you consider the best applications and the budget may have to come up to meet it or the expectation adjusted. It is always nice to know what the possibilities might be if nothing more than just for inspirat...

Your Race Car Design

I hope this topic will start a new thread of interest. A friend and I are planning to develop a dedicated transaxle race car to battle some well proven 105 coupes. Here's a challenge and a chance to share any dreams and brain doodlings (mixed with any real facts) you might have to prepare the specs ...

Hi Mats, The weight is something I never anticipated anyone would ask me so I didn't plan for a reply! However, I would say that the selection mechanism itself would weigh approximately 50% more than the original set up but in real figures this would amount to no more than 0.5-1 Kg. In practical ter...
