Hey Greg, How do you like the Mauser? I have a M1 Carbine and a SKS, I thought the Mauser would be better for target shooting. '70 Cutlass Convertible '78 GL1000 '84 XL350R '85 XR80R '86 VFR700F '89 VFR750R (RC30 K) '91 VFR750F I also have a '91 Accord on it's 3rd engine, but I really don't like to ...

That should be the engine RPM at which the Fuel Pump is turned on, I think I have mine set at 100 or 200 rpm, that way the pump is not running when the engine is turned off but the key is on. I have a Pro, but I have not installed it, so most of my experience is from my GoTech standard install.

Not sure about the pro, but I think it is a ground switch, so you won't have voltage coming from it, just a ground switch.

To answer the grease question, the unit is tensioned by the spring so there is still movement in the tensioner, but with the oil feed plugged, there is no lubrication, so the grease takes care of that.

Not sure what you are doing, but you can get a volt meter that has a rpm guage on it, then disassemble the tach (rev counter) and just sync them up, but don't change the starting point, just adjust the screw.

Yes, if you take it completely apart there is a little screw on top of the mechanism that will adjust it.

Barry,

You were right, I finally ran a wire from the battery right to the green wire junction from the alt, started right up and ran 14v without reving the motor, sorry it took me so long to get it right, my battery light on my dash does not work, so I wonder if that is the problem...

Yep, once it hit 3500 rpm it is fine even at idle, I am not using my battery light, I am using a volt meter to test this, I do have a wire run from the batter to the junction box. The problem is that I have to rev to 3500 to get the engine to run right also since I have GoTech installed, the low vol...

East Tennessee Transaxle Alfaholics

Hello all, I am leaving Atlanta and my Alfa buddies here to move to Kingsport, TN in North East Tennessee and just wanted to check to see if there were any transaxle Alfa nuts up that way. I will be starting my new job on April 3rd and living in corporate condo until I close on my house, so I am not...

Peab,

Good luck to you, like I said, I have had good luck with them, so hopefully you will too, don't throw your old one away, keep it for a while, maybe I will buy it from you if my luck ever runs out! Enjoy the car!

I think the only thing that goes wrong with the old style besides the oil leak, is the bearing and you can still get them, I say put a new bearing on your old tensioner and reuse it again. I hae had good luk with the new style but there are plenty who have not

Yep, put a new regulator in and have the same problem, put a new neg battery wire on, nothing new, put on a new wire from reg to junction box, still the same. Any cance this has something to do with GoTech? Can't think why, just throwing it out there...

I think my advice to you is fill it with grease and leave it alone! I think that is the ideal setup!
