Thanks Micke! JK: I ignore your devious comments and offer to buy your miserable 6-cylinder substitute of an engine because i need to fix my lawnmower (he, he, he...) I doubt though whether this thing will still give me enough hp to properly cut grass that is left to grow for more than a month, i gu...

Quick steering rack:HELP!
Gentlemen,
can someone help me find a quick ratio steering rack for my GTV 2.0?
I am looking at something with 2.5 turns (or similar) instead of the original 3.5.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks in advance.

Hi MD, comments are welcome anyway... Strange but that is the same opinion i heard from JK last weekend (while i was trying not to blow the whole car up because i couldn't mount the wheels easily). I am sure there must be a kind of spiritual bond between you two... Greetings to all the GTV freaks Do...

bteoh:i think you refer to the 'ignis fridges' Group A GTV6 of Colin Bond that raced indeed in the 80's as you correctly point out.The fact is that those were 16inch split rims and centre locking as well (which means also extremely expensive...) By the way the car is indeed a two liter but wears gtv...

x-rad: You have just touched the sensitive spot here, the split-rim compomotive (or schmidt) that you mention is according to my humble opinion the absolute best wheel that can be put on a 116 gtv, period... The problem is that the Schmidt wheels cost around 2.000Euros a set and the Compomotives are...

TS Turbo: We made special 8mm spacers and even then we had to file a small amount of the 'bulge' of the front calipers... JK: How was that Group A 75 you talked about?Fast enough?I bet that compared to The Ring the circuit must have seemed childish to Ron... Anyway i definitely should test the car t...

Gentlemen,
I am at the fortunate position to present you some photos of my new wheels.
Ronal Turbo 7x15, ET 25 (a real pain to mount them with the GTV6 brakes though...)

Pietere, there are two types of electric mirror switches: one that controls only the driver mirror (because in most cars the passenger mirror was extra) and one that controls both mirrors, is virtually unobtainable now (you can look up in e-bay though) and has a ring selector for switching between t...

GTV 6 calipers with 4 stud Ronal Turbo wheels
Hello everyone!! I just got myself a nice set of the good old Ronal Turbo wheels (4stud, 27offset) but when i tried to mount the front ones i realised to my despair that it is impossible to clear the calipers (i have gtv6 Brembo calipers with gtv6 discs drilled for a 4 stud pattern). We tried to use ...

Gentlemen, i have to thank each one of you for the comments. It is indeed my passion to stick to these cars and engines but i also feel respect to everyone who shares this kind of perversity(!) no matter what number of cylinders he (or better she) has... Anyway enough of the romantic stuff, JK: 1)I ...

Hi cchan, i am quite conservative regarding expected horsepower but i will be quite happy with about 160hp at the crank (although there are official Autodelta documents that claim 180hp at the crank with these level of mods). For wheel hp estimate about 18% loss (as talked about elsewhere in this fo...
