Hi Greg,

That's the PCV valve from a Toyota.

Joey,

Mate, I chose this route so the wankers in blue won't give me problems if they ask me to open the bonnet. Also it should make passing the emission test easier as it looks stock.

Modified airbox

Modified airbox with 4" intake pipe.

Final step is to weld everything up completely, grind the edges, and spray paint it. Should be completed in a few days.

Murray, Don't forget to clean the liners and pistons thoroughly. Some people spray cleaning solvents, wipe it a few times and call it good. My mechanic and I cleaned each liner several times. First with warm soapy water. Then take a clean kithecn towel and spray some oil on it, then wipe the liner. ...

Seb,

Is it really a 3.0??? Or is it like a 3.3L or something? The idle is not smooth...so I am thinking it is a notch above my cams. Like something with 11mm lift and very long duration. and overlap.
Does it use Motec?

237 bhp at the wheels maybe? That would be aboutt 280 flywheel bhp.

I doubt you can hit 265 km/h with 237 flywheel bhp.

Seb,

What's the spec? Compression? Cams? Headers (what type)? Is it still a 3.0?

Thanks,

It isn't the Alfa 90 3.0 Qv with the 6 throttles right? The wheels seem to be the same as that 90. Damn that thing moves, and sounds great! Wait till I super charge my 3.0. I wish I had put in Carillo rods in my engine.....

Merril, For me it is a money issue. I can't afford to go hog wild on power upgrades, rims and tires. So if I were to get big brakes, which means big wheels, my tire choices (especially for the track) is severely limited. Go to tirerack and check out the available 16" tires for the track which w...

Merril, I was thinking of Nissan Maxima (circa 1995) rotors and wilwood DynaPro calipers (have dust seals) with either 1.38" pistons (if you have the 24mm MC) or 1.25" pistons if you have the stock MC. Pad selection isn't too great though. The calipers alone will run US$500. Or you could g...

Maybe you guys should look into exhaust valves. Look at the new BMWs, specifically the E36 328i or E46 330i. Look at the muffler and you will see that one of the 2 tailpipes has a small valve which open and closes depending on some triggering event (vacuum, throttle angle, etc). But you can configur...
