Hey Zamani, that did it! First I took the distributor advance curve on page 00-34 in the Milano manual and converted those settings to KPa, and put those in my table (KPa vs RPM) at 850 RPM. Then I just added 2 degrees for each 500 RPM up to 26 degrees total advance. It feels pretty good idling and ...

Houston, we have ignition!!! OK, I'm able to get the engine started and idling....very rough though. I have to tune the ignition table. Anybody running MSNS-E with the 12x12 table and running ignition? I'd like to see what your ignition table looks like. I'll post details on how to setup MS to contr...

Carl, you never told me your Milano makes THAT MUCH noise. Lets test it out tomorrow. We could try my set of wheels on your car in case its tire noise.

Zamani, I bought on ebay a ljet box so I could sacrifice the header for my MS project, but it turned out not to have all the header pin/connectors. So when you did an ljet box, just make sure it has all the pins (readily visible on the outside of the box). If all you want is the header, all the ljec...

Steve, thanks for the information. I had no idea that there was feed and read to the hall sensor in the distributor. Is it possible we have different distributors? I thought there was 12V to the hall sensor and then +5V/0V from the sensor. Do you have any more information on "feed" and &qu...

MSnS-E with Bosch Module

Hey everybody, does anyone have MSnS-E running with the Bosch module from the 164 yet? I am in the planning stages and have a few questions. Below I've put together a diagram of what I've learned so far for the install. My questions are as follows: 1. Why take the Hall signal off the advance control...

Thanks Jeff for the clue, and I've figured out how to remove the headlamp frame. You remove the grill cover and that reveals 2 bolts. There is a 3rd bolt inside the engine bay between the headlamp and corner lamp. Once the 3 bolts are removed and the bulbs detached, you can pull out the headlamp and...

Removing Milano Corner Lamp

Hey there, I've got a replacement corner lamp for my milano, but can't figure out how to remove the old one. Anybody know how to do that, do I have to remove the headlamp?

Don't want to break any of these hard to find parts.

Thanks,

Peter, I'm not headed to the west coast for the alfa convention this year, but if the event returns to the east coast soon, I'd sure like some sort of MS tutorial/install session. Count me among the very interested, just not going to the convention. How was last year's session, I was dying to go but...

David, thanks for letting me know about the lack of a rev limit with fuel only. Although I'm not concerned about my driving, I am concerned about my instructors when they take the wheel or an occasional friend who doesn't realize there's no rev limit. How'd you get the fuel pump ckt to shut off afte...

fuel only rev limiter

Hey everyone, been pretty quiet on the Megasquirt area here on the forum. If been busy trying to get my ECU to squeeze into the footwell and removing the AFM from my intake (pictures soon). Here's my question. I see in the Megatune software for Msn-E that you can set a rev limiter, and it appears th...

Hey nice install David. Mine isn't nearly as nice, but I retained the Ljet header still bolter to that metal plate. In order to get the MS box to fit I have it sideways on the metal plate. I had to cut away the fiberglass housing where the old ljet box fit. I think I should be able to keep the seria...

Peab, I'm going to use the 3" x 3.5" adapter silicon hose to go from the 3" tube to the somewhat larger OD throttle body (3.25" or so). Give me anothe week and perhaps I'll have a picture - don't have all the parts yet.

Thanks,
Bill

You know Greg, if I were to do this intake thing again, I would definitely buy your silicon tube. I'd want it a little longer than your stock design, but i seem to recall you said that was possible. This vibrant thing was somewhat of an impulse buy and I have to admit I liked the thought of that shi...
