Hey thanks David and Steve, just what I needed to know. I get a fairly good idle when cold, but can't load the engine or it will stall. I'd fiddle with the warmup settings more, but everytime I do I end up flooding the engine. Now that I've installed Megasquirt, I'm really impressed with all the dev...

auxiliary air valve?

Hey was I suppsed to get rid of that auxiliarly air valve (heated switch thing on passenger valver cover) when I went to MS? I always seem to have something like a vacuum leak when its cold and I'm wonder if I should have eliminated that auxiliary air valve.

Thanks,

FYI, I've got TPSs from a Volvo 850 (950?) turbo and an Alfa 155. Neither are bolt-on additons to the GTV6/Milano throttle body.

David, nice GTV6! Thanks for the suggestion on the plug wires. I have a complete backup set and will give it a try. Also, the car has cooled off and I think I'll go out and see if the problem was temperature related. On the wiring diagram, I posted something earlier but it is out of date. I'll see w...

Hey everyone, I've had MSNS-e with spark control running for a couple weeks now (using Milano distributor), but I have one nagging problem that persists. I'll go out for a tuning run (not running great yet), come back, shut the car off, go inside to read the datalogs and tweak the maps. Then when I ...

OK, I've got a "decode MS" question. What the heck is GEGO? I'm looking at my datalogs in MSLLV and its got the GEGO line. I had always assumed it was the reading from the O2 sensor, but MSLLV has a separate line for that. Ahhh, the more you learn about MS, the less you know. Bill in Maryl...

I just took an air temp sensor (and AFM harness connector) from a spare Milano AFM, plugged it into the side of a 3" aluminum intake tube, and connected it all to the Milano wiring harness where it connects to the AFM. Seems to work fine, but I don't know if the calibration is correct. Looks li...

Hey I've got a "Decoding MS" question for everyone, recently my laptop crashed and I had to start out all over again. It wasn't that hard, but I loaded all the code and programs right from the MSEFI.com sites and didn't use any maps/code/anything from other alfisti. I never did anything to...

Milano Man, I have Greg Gordan's stage II injectors, a 3" tube intake with no AFM, a 3" exhaust, s-cams, s-pistons and you know what, I don't think my duty cycles get over 40-50%. I don't think you need bigger injectors for what I have, but then my stock injectors were trash and the decisi...

In working (still) on MSNS-e spark control this weekend, I just happened to think about something. I have the "manual" timing belt tensioner, not the mechanical tensioner that replaced the hydraulic tensioner. In setting up spark control, there's a lot of moving the crank back and forth an...

Hey that deal at Glen's garage looks pretty good for an MS I kit. Less expensive than what I paid a year ago I think. No MSII kits yet, though. My Digikey kit arrived incomplete - they were nice about it though. I don't mind paying a guy like Glenn a little more if he makes sure I get the right part...

Me? It took forever. Now Peter, Michael and Steve, I think it took them two weeks. I basically worked half-an-hour every worknight for several weeks to build the box; the same to build the harness; and then it took me just a few days to get it up and running. Then to switch to 12x12 tables (fuel onl...

Zamani, I just spent about 15 minutes on msefi.com. I'd say MS-II is the way to go. It integrates a lot of the spark control features from MSNS and other spark control modifications to the original MS. Given that MS-II is still early in its release there are potential bugs to be worked out or at lea...

Zamani, that's a tough one. I assume MSII has come kind of ignition control features, but I don't know if it has all of the features like you see at http://megasquirt.sf.net/extra/ , and that would be key to me. For myself, I was going to wait at least 6-mos. more before I go to MS-II. That allows s...
