Really? Guess they learned their lesson on the E9X because it's right there.

Re: my 75 turbodelta, front 330d gearbox

Drop all thoughts of an Alfa diff. Use a BMW unit. There are several to chose from and they won't break.
You need a custom driveshaft and halfshafts but you will need that anyway.

Re: Mats Strandberg (SWE)

To be honest, I haven't driven it that much. It's not ready yet because the rear springs are way too short. It's not insanely quick in any way but it has some top end pull. It's nice and quiet too. I do have a 320d LCI also and that I have put 10 000km on over 2.5years. There are a few minor issues ...

Re: Alfa Romeo Challenge Hockenheim

Yes I do have quite a lot of info since most of them are my old rivals... 8) Regarding DNFs and such, yes, they have some failures here too. Jens in the green GTV rebuilt his gearbox between quali and race. Just tore it out right there on the pit floor. What a champ. Looks like Claes (the ...

Re: Mats Strandberg (SWE)

Since you're in Cali I'm going to assume (I know, not everyone are the same) that you're used to a 10 dollar oil change every 1000 miles? Quick-lube and what not? I'm more used to paying premium for oil so the BMW M3 spec oil isn't really that expensive. Water pumps? How often do you change those? :...

No thanks, for economy I also have a 2010 320dT.
But you never know, the E46 M3 engine is not terribly expensive...

Re: driveshaft conversion

Just replaced all the guibos on my "other brand car", what a joy it was. No overlapping studs, no expanded rubber that needs o be compressed to be able to fit it. Just put the disc in place and insert the screws and torque to spec. Done.
