Re: Fitting an electrical brake vacuum pump

Nice. I’ve never seen this setup, would this eliminate the need for the servo?

I heard MD has vacuum pumps too……

Re: Engine smoking

Brian’s probably right. If it’s the rings, then you should see constant blue smoke.

Re: Crank case ventilation and negative pressure

Which do you recommend? Some of the stuff I see for sale don't have the right mechanical design to separate oil from the air and they're super expensive. Some of the industrial oil separators I see online should work well, but they need to be adapted to the engine bay.

Re: Need help on the Alfetta GTV6 propshaft

I like keeping the rubber donuts front and back to absorbed the engine pulses and will not cause too much gearbox chatter . But if we had a CV center it will be able to accommodate the engine and transaxle misalignment. What do you guys think?

Lovely! Daniel also used these wheels. 16" wheels with BBK is great. JK squeezed some big ones using 15" wheel. He would use 14's if he could... Where is Daniel these days anyway?

just give JK a horse, so there will be no dispute on how many horsepower he has. He can't say he has 256 horses when he only has one.

you have the non-splined front yoke driveshaft. i had that and i changed it to the splined front yoke. easier to install.

Crank case ventilation and negative pressure

I think there's merit in creating negative crankcase pressure. But maybe it has more to do with seal longevity as opposed to "free horsepower". I don't like the fact that hot crankcase air gets into the intake. For a road car, emissions forces you to do this, but for an off-road car, I que...

Re: SA GTV6 2.5 restoration and few minor mods !

Kev, Looking good. You should replace that old-style compressor. With 40 degree summers you'll never know when the AC needs to be used. Also for the rear bulbs, I'd recommend you get something like this, DeOxit 5, maybe from Maplins or something. Halfords definitely do not have this. Not just a clea...
