Re: Some more brake upgrades for the 116-Barry

Like some of you im running the Dutch big brake it i.e 166V6 calipers, and 330mm 156 GTA rotors combo. I have ordered new pads, Ferodo DS2500 (FCP1334H) and here's the problem. It appears that ferodo interprets OEM pad dimensions rather freely: http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/7426/20130214201552.jp...

Re: Replace clutch master

Its a PITA type of job to do, but no need to drill anything. Remove the pin from the bolt that fixes the MC to the clutch pedal. Undo the bolt. Now press the MC rod all way in and yank it in either side so you can remove the spring and spring pan. Once these are removed undo the two hex bolts that a...

Re: driveshaft conversion

Yes Mats, engine torque. Just for reference. In theory our shafts carry way less torque than in conventional FR layout, so this is really strange. The splines on the shaft were relatively intact, which also leads me to hope that this was a material issue.

Re: driveshaft conversion

Hey Remco, how do you pilot your rear end of the shaft? Just the bolts? And i thought to share some experience with you guys... What's wrong with this picture?: (except for shitty quality) http://imageshack.us/a/img585/8994/20120904131835.jpg This happened to the front cv-joint. As you can see the s...

Re: PICTURES-Different wheels for Alfa`s-Barry

Since I've sold all of my 15's (even the stock mag-capagolos wich I kinda regret now) and my car's rolling out next week I had to desperately buy some 17" rims (330mm rotors). I managed to buy a set of Allesio wheels with tyres for a bargain price. I dont know the model name of the wheels but t...

Re: El cheapo rear vented brake upgrade - ideas?

Wow those kia rotors look quite promising yet i guess the centering hole and pcd are wayy to big. Anyway, I have comepetely taken apart the dreaded rear calipers, and looking at their internals there is NO WAY you could compeletely bleed them in normal conditions... we already know that 105 series r...

El cheapo rear vented brake upgrade - ideas?

Let's state three things: -outboard brakes are not an option (say regulations) -SZ/RZ rotots unavailable / extraorbitant prices -custom stuff; alu floating hats etc etc out of question I believe someone has tackled with the issue here. I asked some local chaps for some aftermarket rotors with relati...

Suspension Settings...

I have been thinking about it for a while, and I came up with such idea... This site is and has been great for it's users sharing their knowledge and experience with others, and how about a talk strictly devoted to the way, we set our cars so we can pull as much lat. G's as we can with our transaxle...

Kevin, no the propshaft wasnt in at the moment. But now, baffingly with driveshaft installed the response isn't much sloppier at all. That flywheel was deffinately worth the money.
