Re: Race Videos
Hey Mike, Note this was a trackday, not a race, so there were mostly people drving in stock/street cars, and the only requirement in that case is helmet. I don't want you to get the wrong impression but, all races that take part here have to comply with FIA safety regs, so no, you won't see guys rac...

Re: Race Videos
Well, so here it is my first onboard, from one and only track event I managed to paticipate in this season :( I was running Dunlop Slicks 210/45/17 Medium compound. The change was quite dramatic, which ended me topping my last best time by nearly 10 seconds. Given the fact that im still a rookie Im ...

Re: Fuel pump running VERY hot
Hey Mike. I wanted to make a update on my car and mention it there, but I guess for clarity's sake let's keep it here. Well as it often happens, one looks for causes in all the wrong places... When I had my car on the lift I noticed that the feed hose was bent in a such way that barely any fuel coul...

Re: 30mm Sway Bar
A little bit late, but since I have this arb, well I guess Ill chime in. As you noticed the price is very nice especially if you consider that arb's for our cars are just a hollow pipe with two arms welded on both ends - not really a rocket science. The bars are hollow, adjustable, welds are quite f...

Re: Fuel pump running VERY hot
Ok, reporting in. Unfortunately the new layout hasn't changed the situation a bit. The pump is running freaking hot. At this point I see two options: buy new low pressure pump, or replace the low pressure pump with second efi pump which I'm more biased towards, since I see abundance of setups using ...

Re: Fuel pump running VERY hot
Thanks for the reply guys! I also was advised by some other people to reconsider filter "position" ie. move it as Jim suggested. Will let you know how it works out.

Fuel pump running VERY hot
After around an hour of pretty much spirited driving (no track laps this season yet) i noticed that my auxilary low pressure fuel pump (left) is very hot - like in if you touch it you get burned almost. The efi pump is hot/very warm but you can easily touch it - I know this empirical description isn...

Re: GTV6, ex Zender, turning into a racer
Kevin, I hope this clears it a bit. Mind though there are some errors in the drawings as i remember, but it is just good enough to give you an idea i guess. http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/5000/wen0.jpg http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/1795/gpno.jpg http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/3356/12c8.jpg

Re: GTV6, ex Zender, turning into a racer
Thanks Kevin. Give me a day or so, because I have moved abroad (Holland) and I need to look for my backup disk with all the photos. Will post photos of adapter I made. As far as A arms go, yes I did enlarge the opening since 160N springs require larger shock bodies, and 2,25" diameter springs

Re: GTV6, ex Zender, turning into a racer
Few pics from first field testing in five years! Its really amazing how ton of information found here takes form in a car that turns in so easily and behaves so predictable, that it's hard to accept that it was the "same" car before. Too bad I didn't have any decent semislicks, (had to go ...

Re: GTV6, ex Zender, turning into a racer
Oh my. It has been 5 years since I drove my gtv6... Anyway just telling, me and my car is alive. First stage has been completed. Car turns, accelerates, brakes, howls on wot ;) just a little teaser, more pictures and text to follow: http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/6412/u5p3.jpg Uploaded with Imag...

Re: driveshaft conversion
After having driven the setup for a while I guess I'll chime in. As MD said, there is a rather unpleasant hammering/rattling noise in around 1-1.2K rpm. Past this and it's totally gone. I would rather find it unacceptable in a street car, but on a racer is fine. Other than that, no balance issues or...

Re: LSD => GTV6 Transaxle?
I guess the only way to find out is to take it apart
Is anything else neededexcept for the spacer, to make whole thing work?
And Mats, fancy selling one of these?

Re: LSD => GTV6 Transaxle?
I know that's a little bit waking up from the dead but here's the deal: I have U.S. Milano Gold (2.5l) transaxle in my gtv6, which obviously has an open diff. I have twinspark lsd diff and crownwhell, and I plan to swap just the TS diff into my gearset. I have read that if you want to just swap the ...
