A frind of mine put 164 stock wheels in his gtv6 with no problem. The tires were 205/55/15. The only difference was that the 164 wheels looked a bit outer the wheelarch, but isn't it what we are all look for?

Thanks, Barry. Have you noticed that Ron Simmons is now selling a kit including a pair of front GTA discs with the inner hole machined and a spacer to fit the GTV6? Have a look at www.alfaromeo-performanceparts.com and tell me what you think. He also includes the pads and the spacers for the stock c...

GTA front discs in a GTV6?

I've been thinking in fitting a pair of front discs from a GTA or GTV/Spider in my GTV6.

Has anybody already tried this? Do they need major machining? Which are the steps to follow?

Maybe you're right, but I've already spent the money and and I did it because I didn't feel soft springs and soft torsion bars the same.

Zamani, I've seen in an old post from you that you have schematics/measures/diagrams of the mounting brackets needed to be built to fit the Wilwoods. Can I get them?

Anyone has the same for the rear caliper spacers needed to fit SZ disks?

Re: Torsion bars versus coilsprings

I know th torsion bars and coil springs should work the same, but that's not what I feel. With "lack of leaness" I mean that you don't have the feeling of having the right amount of load on the outer wheels as fast as de coils do. Of course, there's more stress in the upper shock mounts, b...

Re: Rear Springs

Yes, those springs will fit straight on. To lower the car turning the torsion bars, you have to remove the small plates right at the rear end of each bar. Then, you'll see a threaded hole in the bar. With the car jacked up and with help of an appropiate stud and some custom spacers (unless you have ...

So, Zamani, the ones that fit the car are the showed here:

as Part Number: 120-5093, Right?

Can these calipers and Supra rotors be fitted with the stock 15" rims?

Hi, Barry! The front 50kg springs were definitely far too soft, I've just ordered a pair of 80kg ones and I guess those are going to do the job well. JJ, I didn't reinforce the shock mounting points and I don't feel the front twisting as everybody says. It's certain that I haven't tested it on a tra...

RSRacing tells you to fit the coilovers in combination with the torsion bars. I just removed the torsions, so now I have only the coil springs. I didn't like their behaviour, torsion bars are slower in their movement than coilsprings, so you get a lack of leaness (I guess the word is wrong) over bum...

Zamani, could you tell me what part number/reference are the Willwood Dynalite calipers? What diameter are those Supra rotors?

I installed a full RS coilovers kit in my GTV6 by myself. Send me some pics so I can see exactly what you mean and help.

Cheers.

P.S.: I removed the torsion bars (I hated their behaviour) and fitted new springs (Thanks, Barry!!) because the RS 125Kg were far to stiff for me.

The standard ride heights for the Gtv6 are:

Front: 19cm (7.48 inches)
Rear: 22cm (8.66 inches)

These measures are taken from the jackpoints under the car to the ground.
