I am happy to help support this. Something like Google syndicated advertising would not have any influence on what is said on the forum and would help with the costs. Having said that, I am happy to chip in or help to organise the hosting if necessary. What kind of hosting is needed to keep it going?

Re: Best source for "new" AFM
Latest update on this is that the mechanic had already tightened the spring, he says the problem is a worn potentiometer track. I guess I do need a new one

Best source for "new" AFM
Hello, The mechanic I use says the AFM on my stock(ish) 2.5 GTV6 is running out of adjustment and is now just about 1.5% CO with the air screw all the way out. It is time to start looking for another one. I seem to remember that the AFMs from other L Jet cars will fit. Which ones are best and is the...

Oh no! I missed you at the Spring Alfa Day!
I went early with the kids, a quick look around and off to the planes.
I was on my way by 12:30.
I will share my photos...

Re: Propshaft Centre Coupling
In the end I got a BMW one for £30 which was a couple of mm thicker but otherwise identical. My garage put it on for 2 hours labour in November and so far all has been well. There is another thread somewhere about it on here. With all these cars it is only worth taking them to a mechanic if they are...

Re: Alternators for dummies
I would go for as much as possible. My alternator light has always glowed faintly in operation over the last 16 years, even after I replaced the alternator. Battery stays charged so no problem. Lately the car stereo has begun cutting out when idling in traffic if the blower, lights, indicators etc.....

Re: New source of RHD headlights?
What do people do for headlights in RHD countries these days? My taped up LHDs look scruffy and don't give out much light. There has to be a better way!

Re: HT Leads
I will think about this but the car has been 100% reliable up until now and runs really well so I will update the bits that wear out and then see how it goes.
Megasquirt or similar is probably the way to go eventually I guess.

Re: HT Leads
I have already ordered the cap and rotor arm. What happened was that my car stopped dead on the A14 (a bit like the A3!) last Sunday. I got it towed home and got a mechanic to look at it. It started but ran roughly so he took the distributor cap off and filed off the corrosion and now it runs a lot ...
