I've had two slave cylinders fail in two years, do you think I need to look at the linkage or could this just be poor quality parts. It was changed at a main dealers here in September 2005 and last night it broke again  Luckily it failed in the garage. Could it fail because the car has been le...
Mine lived in cold salty Cambridgeshire from 1984 to 1998. I had some pretty major welding done in 2001. No worse than many other cars of the period, how many mid 80s cars do you see on the road these days in the UK? I think if you get a good one, regularly treat it with waxoyl and inspect it every ...
I used one as a daily driver from 1998 to 2006. Had to spend some money on it but not that much. The hardest thing was finding a good garage that understood it. Once this happend it was very reliable and a treat to drive. I still have it but a growing family has pushed it into semi-retirement. I sti...

2l V6 Turbo
Has anyone ever put a 2l V6 turbo engine out of a 164 into a GTV6 or 75? There's one available around here and I wondered... I guess it could be like converting the 3l but maybe with packaging problems for the turbos. Apologies if this is already listed somewhere but I don't remeber seeing it.

I have the Momo Montecarlo too and have been very happy with it, it really suits the GTV6 and looks appropriate to a 1980s GT see the similar design in the 288GTO for example. Its great to hold and makes it much easier to find space for my legs! I used to use a Momo Gritti wooden wheel, it was very ...

They sell some Alfa's South of the border. Isn't there some sort of common market going on over there? http://www.gm.com.mx/content_data/LAAM/MX/es/GMMGM/showroom/alfaromeo/home.html I guess its a long way to go for servicing though and the newer models aren't all that amazing although they compete ...

Can you briefly explain to novices what would be the application for these bars and a rough idea of the cost is you did get 50-100 orders so people can decide. For instance is this a mild tightening for a fast road gtv6 or more of a track mod. There are a lot of people on this site who make the odd ...

Smoking, is it bad for my engine's health?
Over the last year my 2.5 GTV6 has started smoking when I lift off, especially after caning it. Having read through the forum I reckon that its the valve guides. My question is this, the engine is running well apart from this and I am saving up for a 3 ltr conversion (new baby means that this will t...
