I got head gaskets with the pistons & sleeves. I need to check before mounting the heads that everything looks fine. Any hints what to look for not to get unexpected trouble?
It also looks bloody tight with water around the sleeves. I hope it's sufficient but have no experience in it whatsoever.

Re: In the build...? Anything new being done..?
Piston and liners came from http://www.ps-schulze.de/ Pistons are stamped AW-Delta so they come from there. I asked them too but they didn't offer sleeves. I wanted to buy from AH Motorsports but they were too busy to send me an invoice. Horrible attitude to customers. I won't ask them anything agai...

Re: In the build...? Anything new being done..?
I think the dip in the Squadra chip is just bad programming. Mabe it tries to advance too much and knocks. Gasoline was 98 oct as it should. These are both driven within 15 min. The stock curve is probably due to the horribly short exhaust primaries and intake. The 3.5 is coming into a Q4. Most like...

Re: In the build...? Anything new being done..?
Not entirely GTV oriented but close enough. We dynoed a stock 164Q4 24 valve 3.0 some weeks ago. With and without Squadra chip. Not very surprisingly the chip didn't deliver even close what it was supposed to. Graph attached. Q4 dyno.jpg Now the heads for mine are ready and they flow like crazy. The...

The GT3 are all NA. At least where they are built. GT2 are turbos.
I used the car for testing and mounted the needed instrumentation.

Re: 2nd 2009 'Ring trip!
Don't know what GT3 you refer to. The one I drove - 1st gen 996 - 360 hp) -had a redline at 7½ and revved to 8200 (not in sixth ).
This was a road car from a rental company and though I've driven some race cars none was as good as this one.

Re: bilstien or koni
Another thing which might not be that obvious having been playing with them £$€ torsion bars. Get any coil over sprinsg in the right direction. They don't cost anything compared to T-bars and they are easy to swap. If you get 200 lbs for starters it will already make the car handle much better. Then...

The stock bushes are totally OK as long as they are not worn.

Is that your guess? The suspension actually gains positive camber during bump.

Re: I need a short group for my Alfa
If you now have 4.56 and 240 km/h then what you want is:
240/155*4.56 = about 7:1
Never heard of such but who knows

Re: I need a short group for my Alfa
As I said, I really don't understand what you mean by semi close ratio. With the data you provided the fifth is longer than stock. 205/50R15 / 7500 rpm and 41/9 diff with stock 75 gears make: 61/102/128/170/226 There's only one stock diff longer than what you have. that's the Giulietta 1300 (43/9) w...

Re: I need a short group for my Alfa
What gear ratios do you have and how high do you rev?
It doesn't sound semi close or close at all for that matter.
With stock ratios and a 41/9 rear end you should have with 58 cm tires at 8k 64/107/134/178/236 km/h.
Only getting a shorter diff gear doesn't help much. Closer ratios would.

Re: Power & performance figures for 24v with transaxle
Giving a recommendation without more info is pure guessing. First it depends on how high you rev it. Equally important what's the use. For twisty tracks a 4.56 would be good. If it revs high even 4.78. Normal tracks or compromise of track/road a 4.1 would be OK. More comfort or road driving maybe a ...

Re: 3 liter, 24 valve engine project
First thing is to check where the difference comes from. If your engine thinks its revving 6770 and the dyno thinks it is 6300 somethings not right. 50/50 which one. I'd say the dip comes from letting go after redline and the smoothing makes it look like it does. Looking at the torque curve it's not...

Re: 3 liter, 24 valve engine project
Do you realize that you are probably not at max HP rpm yet?
Looking at the power and torque curves there might be 10-20 hp if you rev it out.
