Jim, That's the cam locking plate I made a few year's ago. It was posted on the old GTV6.org site. The reason I only used 2 bolts was that I wanted to make sure at least one bolt stayed in place so nothing moved. At the time I didn't know what would move if all 3 bolts were taken out at once. Maybe ...

Mine had a fair amount of surface rust and the bottom bit rusted away on one. I sanded back to bare metal and coated both sides with fibreglass cloth and resin. I made the fibreglass repair slightly larger than the original and it also then replaced the rusted away bits. It's easy to sand and file i...

Bill, You need to wire the alternate fuel pump circuit correctly. I de-soldered the components and re-used them. Here's a link to my revised diagram. As you can see I'm no graphic artist. http://home.swiftdsl.com.au/~joeyamin/FuelPumpModA.pdf Looking at the board with the DB37 on the right all the c...

Bill, Yes quiet on the forum but in the last couple of weeks I've finished my second MS build ready for my 2.5: GTV6 and fixed the 1st build with the fuel pump circuit. The fuel pump now cuts out after 2 seconds as per the MS specs. Also building a new intake for the 2.5L GTV6 and scrapping the AFM....

Backing Plate
Peter,
You need to make the plate longer at the top above the L-Jet box upper mounting hole to get it all to fit. I'll get the dimensions of my board and post then here. Also the backing plate ensures a good earth on everything.

Alternative Fuel Pump Wiring Diagram
I’ve completed my latest GTV6 MS build. As I mentioned in a previous post, I decided to follow Peter Florence’s Alternative Fuel Pump Diagram, taking particular care with the orientation of emitter and collector legs as per the diagram. IMPORTANT - I have discovered that the fuel pump now shuts off ...

Michael, I'm going to leave the plastic housing off the cable plug for now. The mounting board is actually longer than the L-Jet case as there is room to locate higher than the L-Jet but no room below. There may be enough room to make the back longer still and then use the plug complete. I'll check ...

I've just about completed my 2nd MS install, this time on a stock 2.5L 85 GTV6. I took the easy way out this time and bought a ready built unit. The GTV6 mods to the MS board are finished. No big deal as I had some spares from my first install on my 3.0L 85 GTV6. Just follow the GTV6 MS install in t...

Michael, Steve, When I did my MS assembly I used a 6 pin socket for U4. Also replaced the stock alternator with a reconditioned Mercedes 85 amp model. What about a separate shielded wire for the tach signal? I have an MSD ignition unit so it might be worth me hooking it temporarily and see what happ...

Michael, I opened the log ok. The stumble point is almost identical to mine. I see you get the drop to 800 rpm an an occasional spike upwards. I only get the drop to 800 rpm and also at exactly 1,600 rpm. If I'm reading the log correctly you also don't seem to get the problem when accelerating hard....

Michael, I also have a slight stumble at 1600 - 1700 rpm. It is across a wide MAP range. My datalog shows no spikes but sometimes a drop to 800 rpm at that point. I've tried altering the VE table but it has no effect. It's not a major issue as it doesn't occur under hard acceleration or normal drivi...
