Ah... it is ducted! While the attention to detail is great the picture quality is not
Can you make the intake manifold entrance on the other side or is it just too much work (for really very little gain)?

Re: Supercharged Nord 2.0 4cyl (Spider engine)
that intercooler looks tiny. anyone with a turbo civic will laugh at that
i'm really happy to finally see a 4-cyl milano in the states. should be a lot of fun on the track or even on the road at "leagl" speeds

Re: New Intercooled Supercharged GTV6
I'd love to know the transaxle was designed to take 1000Nm (737ft-lbs) After all, no need to be greedy

Re: Boost!
Thanks for the clarification, Greg.
Mats, I agree: in 'normal' diameter pipes flow losses are small

In a laminar world - yes. In an engine... unlikely (specifically with 1" and 3")Mats wrote:Mass flow can be the same but speed will be higher in the small pipe.

Re: Boost!
Greg, I think we all agree on what you are saying.
My question was related to:
/quote Duk
Improving the flow of the inlet ports could well result in detonation issues at the same boost pressure.

Can anyone explain this?

Re: Boost!
Therefor, it wouldn't matter if you were pumping air through a 1" pipe or a 3", the heat associated with forced induction wouldn't be more becuase of a smaller/less flowing orrifice, but the heat that comes from the actual compression of the air (or any gas, for that matter). On that note...

Re: Boost!
Duk can you provide some more info on the subject of more air -> less likely for detonation to occur. I honestly find it difficult to understand... the way I understand it: 12v -> flows less -> less flow with xx psi boost -> less hp. however, the smaller amount of air is compressed to the desired pr...

Re: New Intercooled Supercharged GTV6
Mercedes Benz had to limit their max torque to 1000Nm (from 1200) on the 65AMG cars because the transmission could not take more, so the torque curve is really flat. VE is more than 100% (compared to a N/A engine), but what i'm saying is that it seems it stays fairly constant (no matter what the val...

Re: New Intercooled Supercharged GTV6
I just saw the dyno graph. This is insane. In a different forum I'd say it was made using MS Paint. Only MB electronically limited torque curves look like that. Really amazing job Greg! I guess this means that VE is constant throughout the RPM range :? Runners optimized for RPM higher than 7000??? O...
