Zambon, You really can't make comparisons with a DuraAce cassette. These components are very competently designed by Shimano using some fairly nifty failure analysis and modelling tools. You're talking about a company with a huge design budget here. Plus, these chain-driven sprockets see very differ...

If you find that the ICM is the problem, you can buy non-Bosch replacements. HUCO make knock-offs for a fraction of the price.

It looks like the ignition control module on my wife's VW. On her 1.8T Passat, it fires the spark plug coil packs. (And it failed recently).

JJ, Can you explain how the flywheel bolts flare? Don't the bolts tightly capture the spacers/sleeves molded into the donut? From what I can recall from looking at a broken donut, dounts (and guibos ;-> ) are not just 6 spacers molded into a rubber disk. 3 of the spacers are attached to a 3-pointed ...

"Of course this is also why you don't lose fuel pressure when driving hard with 1/8 tank of fuel. " Hmmmm.....Greg, there's a 270deg right-turn off-ramp on my way to work. With a 1/4 tank or less, I can make her cut out every time. It really upsets the balance. I guess there's only so muc...

Brian,

How do I get hold of Jim?

I am about to take my heater core out. I haven't disconnected the valve yet, but I am confident that it will break. Cotton buds or not.

It's a great service. I've been using it to talk VOIP to family at home (USA-IRL). It's the 1st internet telephony service that seems to work properly.

It's handy for IM too; no bundled cr@p u have to download. No popups or spam either.

Maybe longer than 10 years....Lotus Carlton-era Opel Omega 3.0 had a 'dual ram' intake. When was that - '91?

Head must have been Lotus-work, like the big brother Carlton.

Under full throttle, the intake route changed at some RPM point and it felt like someone turned on the afterburners.

Vinny, Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Don't know the gage, but the dia is 1.75, I believe. The glass packs are 2". Sourced them (and the flex hose) on the internet. Pipes were mandrel-bent locally. Flanges are std 2" at the rear. I'll never use u-bolts again! Flanges at the manifold ...

Excellent work! Looks like a quality installation.

So you've got 4 fuses and 3 relays. Are the relays 2 single poles and 1 double?

I'm prob going to do this installation myself. I've always assumed 4 fuses feeding 4 poles was the correct circuit. Which looks like what you have.

I've got poly bushings on the DeDion apex and Watts linkage. Rear does feel tighter and is not harsh at all. Noise/vibration is same as before. Except: I hear a groan in certain circumstances at v low speed when the car transfers weight from front to back. I can always recreate this backing out of m...

I've also got no horn, no cancelling indicators.
