MD, I removed the proportioning valve while I was waiting for a new one and although the braking was OK a stop of the emergency kind left the rear end smoking and lots of noise. Very embarrassing
You'll need milano column as as the splines on ps and non ps racks differ alot. Plus with milano rack you get the telescopic adjustment which is somwehat useful on italian cars I picked up a Milano rack a coupe of years ago, didn't realize I needed the damn column as well. Do the GTV6 light/turn si...
I seem to be the only one browsing right now so I had better post! CChan how is your GTV6 these days? I followed the build and just came across this post. The rear lights are the biggest pain. As has been mentioned, connectors suck. Remove and refit the rear light circuit board connectors a few time...
Couple of things to check. Does the horn still work? If yes, that is good. There is a rubber bushing that holds the steering column together to reduce vibration through the wheel. A flexible strap jumps this insulator. It is likely the only thing stopping the column from separating when you pull on ...
It may be the headlights are switched by relays and the PO just tapped int o the leads to power the relay solenoid. This is a good mod although I have a busted column switch and I found the contact area for the headlamp switch to be pretty beefy although shorter runs of high current cabling are to b...
This is a little old but I thought I'd throw this in. I came across what seems to be a pretty informed article on porting 2.5 heads. I have added the info on my site as Scott Potter's site has been down for awhile (I need to ask his permission but it is/was freely available). Check out my link page ...
Viewing the photos I'm glad to say that Portland Oregon doesn't use salt to de-ice roads even though we are going through an unseasonable cold snap with a layer of snow and ice on the road. I suspect most UK cars have similar rust issues by now. Not such a problem here in the US, particularly the Pa...
Sorry if this turns up twice. I thought I sent it but it has not appeared yet. I have the pedal box out as the booster died. Got a Milano replacement. I would really like to replalce the plastic spacer between the brake and clutch pedals as there is a lot of slop compared to the Milano pedal box tha...
Remove the plastic crap and the bumpers and the genius of Giugiaro's design reveals itself. I ran my GTV6 (both of them) for awhile without the front air dam and I love the view of the tires that are revealed from the front. A more subtle air dam and bumper combo that tidies up the metalwork but all...
